I didn’t have to be a health inspector.  I could have been a Chef.

Or so people say.

However, I have seen too much of the food industry to ever want to be a part of it.

Hard work, heartache, and very rarely – success.

A lot like marriage.

The main pleasure I have these days – apart from all the other pleasures – is food.  I usually have no one to share the food with, so I am sharing the recipes.  These are my own recipes, some admittedly inspired by others’ but necessarily different because of unavailable ingredients, different personal tastes or just through experimentation.

 For years I kept a diary of my favourite recipes, but now it is either discarded, or in a lock-up in Wellington.  Now I keep them on-line.
