Beef Spare Ribs

  • Beef ribs for two people 
  • 1 Tblsp tomato sauce
  • 1 Tblsp HP sauce or barbecue sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 Tblsp honey
  • 1 Tblsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tblsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoky paprika
  • A few grinds of black pepper
  • A sprinkled of mixed herbs

Mix the ingredients for the marinade and marinate the meat overnight .

Heat the oven to 200C and bake the marinated meat for about 40 minutes or so, until done, turning the ribs over halfway through.

Accompaniments: bean salad, baked potato.  The bean salad shown is same as the last I posted, with additional butter beans and champignons. Canned, of course. 

  
I think roast Brussels would also go well.  

If barbecuing these, I would recommend a bit of precooking, wrapped in foil, in the oven for half an hour or so.
